Praise has been an integral part of the Manmin Church experience from its very beginning. Although it started with only 13 members in 1982, Manmin Church now has more than 100,000 officially registered members, 13 branch sanctuaries in the Seoul metropolitan area, 38 branch churches throughout Korea, and approximately 7,800 branch churches and mission centers abroad. There are 103 pastors, 111 evangelists, and 122 missionaries on staff.
What is the secret of their success? It’s no secret, according to Johnny Kim, director of Manmin TV at the Seoul church. Prayer has been a key to the growth of the church. “I think that most of all, prayer is very important,” said Kim. “We human beings have a limit in our ability and our intelligence, but when we rely upon God Almighty and obey His Word, something powerful happens.”
