1

I am so glad that our Father in heav'n

Tells of His love in the Book He has giv'n,

Wonderful things in the Bible I see

This is the dearest, that Jesus loves me.

I am so glad that Jesus loves me,

Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me,

I am so glad that Jesus loves me,

Jesus loves even me.

2

Tho' I forget Him and wander away,

Still He doth love me wherever I stray

Back to His dear loving arms would I flee,

When I remember that Jesus loves me.

I am so glad that Jesus loves me,

Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me,

I am so glad that Jesus loves me,

Jesus loves even me.

3

O, if there's only one song I can sing,

When in His beauty I see the great King,

This shall my song in eternity be

"O, what a wonder that Jesus loves me."

I am so glad that Jesus loves me,

Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me,

I am so glad that Jesus loves me,

Jesus loves even me.

4

Jesus loves me, and I know I love Him

Love brought Him down my poor soul to redeem

Yes, it was love made him die on the tree

O, I am certain that Jesus loves me.

I am so glad that Jesus loves me,

Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me,

I am so glad that Jesus loves me,

Jesus loves even me.

5

In this assurance I find sweetest rest,

Trusting in Jesus, I know I am blest

Satan, dismayed, from my soul now doth flee,

When I just tell him that Jesus loves me.

I am so glad that Jesus loves me,

Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me,

I am so glad that Jesus loves me,

Jesus loves even me.

1

The Church's one Foundation

Is Jesus Christ, her Lord.

She is His new creation

By water and the word.

From heav'n He came and sought her

To be His holy bride

With His own blood He bought her,

And for her life He died.

2

Elect from ev'ry nation,

Yet on o'er all the earth

Her charter of salvation

One Lord, one faith, one birth

One holy name she blesses

Partakes one holy food

And to one hope she presses,

With ev'ry grace endued.

3

And she on earth hath union

With God, The Three in One,

And mystic sweet communion

With those whose rest is won

Oh, happy ones and holy!

Lord, give us grace that we,

Like them, the meek and lowly,

On high may dwell with Thee. Amen.

1

Jesus, where¡¯er Thy people meet

There they behold Thy mercy seat

Where¡¯er they seek Thee Thou art found

And every place is hallowed ground

2

For Thou, within no walls confined

Dost dwell with the humble mind

Such ever bring Thee, where they come

And, going, take Thee to their home

3

Dear Shepherd of Thy chosen few

Thy former mercies here renew

Here, to our waiting hearts, proclaim

The sweetness of Thy saving Name

4

Here may we prove the power of prayer

To strengthen faith and sweeten care

To teach our faint desires to rise

And bring all Heav¡¯n before our eyes

Amen

1

Temples God will make His station

How can such be built by man.

Heav'n and earth are His creation

All infinity His span.

2

He whose throne is azure heaven,

He whose footstool is the earth,

Can a house to Him be given,

Stone and mortar be of worth

3

But where two or three together

Meet, says, Jesus, in His name,

There's the dwelling of His pleasure,

There the temple, He will claim.

4

On the Rock which is our Saviour,

He the Cornerstone alone,

Each who trusts in Jesus favor

Stands, this Temple's living stone.

5

His foundation changes never.

Brother, sister, on it build.

So to stand in Him forever,

That true Temple He hath will'd! Amen.

1

Glorious things of thee are spoken

Zion, city of our God

He whose word cannot be broken

Formed thee for His own abode

On the Rock of Ages founded

What can shake thy sure repose?

With salvation's walls surrounded

Thou may'st smile at all thy foes

2

See, the streams of living waters

Springing form eternal love

Well supply thy sons and daughters

And all fear of want remove

Who can faint, while such a river

Ever flows their thirst to assuage?

Grace which, like the Lord, the Giver

Never fails from age to age

3

Savior, if of Zion's city

I through grace a member am

Let the world deride or pity

I will glory in that name

Fading is the worldling¡¯s pleasure

All his vaunted pomp and show

Solid joys and lasting treasure

Only Zion's children know

Amen

1

I love Thy kingdom, Lord, The house of Thine abode

The church our blessed Redeemer saved

With His own precious blood

2

I love Thy church, O God; Her walls before Thee stand

Dear as the apple of Thine eye

And written on Thy hand

3

For her my tears shall fall, For her my prayers ascend

To her my cares and toils be given

Till toils and cares shall end

4

Beyond my highest joy I prize her heavenly ways

Her sweet communion, solemn vows

Her hymns of love and praise

5

Sure as Thy truth shall last, To Zion shall be given

The brightest glories earth can yield

And brighter bliss of Heaven

Amen

1

From every stormy wind that blows,

From every swelling tide of woes,

There is a calm, a sure retreat:

'Tis found before the mercy seat.

2

There is a place where Jesus sheds

The oil of gladness on our heads

A place than all besides more sweet:

It is the bloodbo't mercy seat.

3

There is a scene where spirits blend,

Where friend holds fellow ship with friend,

Tho' sundered far, by faith they meet

Before one common mercy seat.

4

Oh, let my hand forget her skill,

My tongue be silent, cold and still,

This bounding heart forget to beat,

If I forget Thy mercy seat. Amen.

1

Hail to the brightness of Zion¡¯s glad morning!

Joy to the lands that in darkness have lain!

Hushed be the accents of sorrow and mourning

Zion in triumph begins her mild reign

2

Hail to the brightness of Zion¡¯s glad morning!

Long by the prophets of Israel foretold!

Hail to the millions from bondage returning!

Gentiles and Jews the blest vision behold

3

Lo, in the desert rich flowers are springing

Streams ever copious are gliding along

Loud from the mountain tops echoes are ringing

Wastes rise in verdure, and mingle in song

4

See, from all lands, from the isles of the ocean

Praise to the Savior ascending on high

Fallen the engines of war and commotion

Shouts of salvation are rending the sky

Amen

1

Come, we that love the Lord,

And let our joys be known.

Join in a song with sweet accord,

Join in a song with sweet accord,

And thus surround the throne,

And thus surround the throne.

We're marching to Zion,

Beautiful, beautiful Zion,

We're marching upward to Zion,

The beautiful city of God.

2

Let those refuse to sing

Who never knew our God

But children of the heav'nly King,

But children of the heav'nly King,

May speak their joys abroad,

May speak their joys abroad.

3

The hill of Zion yields

A thousand ascred sweets

Before we reach the heav'nly fields,

Before we reach the heav'nly fields,

Or walk the golden streets,

Or walk the golden streets.

4

Then let our songs abound,

And ev'ry tear be dry.

We're marching thro' Immanuel's ground,

We're marching thro' Immanuel's ground,

To fairer worlds on high,

To fairer worlds on high.

1

Open now thy gates of beauty,

Zion, let me enter there,

Where my soul in joyful duty,

Waits on Him who answers prayer:

O how blessed is this place,

Filled with solace, light, and grace.

2

Here O God, I come before Thee,

Come Thou also down to me

Where we find Thee and adore Thee,

There a heaven on earth must be:

To my heart O enter thou,

Let it be Thy temple now.

3

Here Thy praise is gladly chanted,

Here Thy seed is duly sown:

Let my soul wher it is planted,

Bring forth precious sheaves alone.

So that all I hear may be,

Fruitful unto life in me.

4

Thou my faith increase and quicken,

Let me keep Thy gift divine

How soe'er temptation thicken,

May Thy Word still o'er me shine,

As my polestar through my life,

As my comfort in my strife.

5

Speak, O God, and I will hear Thee,

Let Thy will be done indeed

May I undisturbed draw near Thee,

While Thou dost Thy people feed.

Here of life the fountain flows,

Here is balm for all our woes. Amen.

1

Come, come to the Saviour, come!

Jesus bids you come today.

Taste the mercy of God's son,

Seek His grace while yet you may.

Hark! The voice of Jesus pleads,

Pleads that you might be restor'd.

Trust His promise, fill your need

Serve Him as your living Lord.

2

Christ is waiting, ever near

Cast your cares on Him alone.

Ev'ry trial, ev'ry fear,

Come to Him and make them known.

To receive His ample grace,

All the love His love outpours,

In repentance seek His face

Ask, and it shall all be yours.

3

Cast your load of sin away,

Own your guilt, forsake your pride.

He'll forgive you now, today,

And receive you to His side.

He will make you pure in heart,

Whiter than the white of snow

And, when clean in ev'ry part,

You'll find heaven here below.

4

Come! Salvation's day is now!

Readied your redemption stand.

Come to Christ, in gladness bow,

And receive it at His hands.

Needless that in evil straits

You should mourn eternal loss!

Knock and enter, Jesus waits.

Find Salvation at His cross.

1

We have heard the joyful sound

Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

Spread the ridings all around

Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

Bear the news to ev'ry land,

Climb the steeps and cross the waves

Onward! 'tis our Lord's command

Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

2

Waft it on the rolling tide

Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

Tell to sinners far and wide

Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

Sing, ye islands of the sea

Echo back, ye ocean caves

Earth shall keep her jubilee

Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

3

Sing above the battle strife,

Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

By His dearth and endless life,

Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

Sing it softly through the gloom,

When the heart for mercy craves

Sing in triumph o'er the tomb,

Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

4

Give the winds a mighty voice,

Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

Let the nations now rejoice,

Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

Shout salvation full and free,

Highest hills and deepest caves

This our song of victory,

Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

1

Strait is the gate to salvation

Narrow the way leading there

Rocky the path way of life is

Rough, and beleaguer¡¯d with care

Yet, though we be all entangled

In the uncleanness of sin

Let us put off each defilement

Search out the strait gate and go in!

Came, enter in at the strait gate

Salvation¡¯s path way and door!

This is the way, walk we in it

This way is life ever more!

2

Many prefer ample arches

Ways trodden broad through the years

Such roads, though pleasant to walk in

End in destruction and tears

Let us forego earthly treasures

Glory and lofty estate

Walk in the way of the Gospel

Enter to life through the strait gate

Came, enter in at the strait gate

Salvation¡¯s path way and door!

This is the way, walk we in it

This way is life ever more!

3

Jesus has open¡¯d salvation

Walk in the straight of His grace

Step out without hesitation!

On, for our life¡¯s dwelling place!

Life¡¯s gate won¡¯t be there forever

Some day it¡¯s closing and then

All of your wishing can never

Open it up for you again!

Came, enter in at the strait gate

Salvation¡¯s path way and door!

This is the way, walk we in it

This way is life ever more!

1

Send Thou, O Lord, to ev'ry place

Swift messengers before Thy face,

The heralds of Thy wondrous grace,

Where Thou Thyself wilt come.

2

Send men whose eyes have seen the King,

Men in whose ears His sweet words ring

Send such Thy lost ones home to bring

Send them where Thou wilt come.

3

To bring good news to souls in sin

The bruis'd and broken hearts to win

In ev'ry place to bring them in

Where Thou Thyself wilt come.

4

Gird each one with the Spirit's sword,

The sword of Thine own deathless Word

And make them conqu'rors, conqu'ring Lord,

Where Thou Thyself wilt come. Amen.

1

O Zion, haste, thy mission high fulfilling,

To tell to all the world that God is Light

That He who made all nations is not willing

One soul should perish, lost in shades of night.

Publish glad tidings, tidings of peace,

Tidings of Jesus, redemption and release.

2

Behold how many thousands still are lying

Bound in the darksome prisonhouse of sin,

With none to tell them of the Saviour's dying,

Or of the life He died for them to win.

Publish glad tidings, tidings of peace,

Tidings of Jesus, redemption and release.

3

Proclaim to every people, tongue, and nation

That God, in whom they live and move, is Love:

Tell how He stooped to save His lost creation,

And died on eath that man might live above.

Publish glad tidings, tidings of peace,

Tidings of Jesus, redemption and release.

4

Give of thy sons to bear the message glorious

Give of thy wealth to speed them on their way

Pour out thy soul for them in prayer victorious

And all thou spendest Jesus will repay.

Publish glad tidings, tidings of peace,

Tidings of Jesus, redemption and release.

1

Lift your eyes and look to heaven,

From a world of chaos below,

Where the cries of wounded spirits

Sound around us where'er we go.

Having lost the road, they wander,

Milling throngs, they've lost the light too,

Like the prodigal, exhausted!

O beliveer! What will you do

2

Lift your eyes and look to heaven,

From a darken'd world below

Where so many shout their nostrums

But the waters of life don't flow.

Our Redeeming Lord seeks workers

Who will labor, faithful and true.

Where is someone who will answer

O beliveer! What will you do

3

Lift your eyes and look to heaven,

To a living lifegiving Lord.

Weak we are, but still He calls us

Heaven's bidding comes by His word.

Christ, alone the living water,

First and last, eternity through,

He is Lord! It's you He's calling.

O beliveer! What will you do

4

Lift your eyes and look to heaven,

He who came again from the grave,

He, in love for all earth's peoples,

Still is waiting, one more to save.

Yet the Lord, our loving Saviour,

Has a day of just judgment too,

Ev'ry day the Day draws nearer.

O beliveer! What will you do

1

"Whosoever heareth," shout, shout the sound!

Spread the blessed tidings all the world around,

Tell the joyful news wherever man is found,

"Whosoever will may come."

"Whosoever will", "Whosoever will,"

Send the proclamation over vale and hill

'Tis a loving Father calls the vand'rer home:

"Whosoever will may come."

2

Whosoever cometh, need not delay,

Now the door is open, enter while you may

Jesus is the true, the only Living Way

"Whosoever will may come."

"Whosoever will," "Whosoever will,"

Send the proclamation over vale and hill

'Tis a loving Father calls the vand'rer home:

"Whosoever will may come."

3

"Whosoever will!" the promise is secure

"Whosoever will," forever must endure

"Whosoever will!" 'tis life forevermore

"Whosoever will may come."

"Whosoever will," "Whosoever will,"

Send the proclamation over vale and hill

'Tis a loving Father calls the vand'rer home:

"Whosoever will may come."

1

Throw out the LifeLine across the dark wave,

There is a vrother whom someone should save

Somebody's brother! O who then, will dare

To throw out the LifeLine, his peril to share

Throw out the LifeLine! Throw out the LifeLine!

Someone is drifting away

Throw out the LifeLine! Throw out the LifeLine!

Someone is sinking today.

2

Throw out the LifeLine with hand quick and strong:

Why do you tarry, why linger so long

See! he is sinking O hasten today

And out with the LifeBoat! away, then, away!

Throw out the LifeLine! Throw out the LifeLine!

Someone is drifting away

Throw out the LifeLine! Throw out the LifeLine!

Someone is sinking today.

3

Throw out the LifeLine to dangerfraught men,

Sinking in anguish where you've never been

Winds of temptation and billows of woe

Will soon hurl them out where the dark waters flow.

Throw out the LifeLine! Throw out the LifeLine!

Someone is drifting away

Throw out the LifeLine! Throw out the LifeLine!

Someone is sinking today.

4

Soon will the season of rescue be o'er,

Soon will they drift to eternity's shore,

Haste then, my brother, no time for delay,

But throw out the LifeLine and save them today.

Throw out the LifeLine! Throw out the LifeLine!

Someone is sinking today.

1

Heralds of the light, be swift, haste your going

Shatter the fetters of night

Peoples still without the truth unknowing

Beam forth the Gospel of Light

Heralds of Light, speed away!

Let shine the bright Gospel ray

End the night of sin, Let the brightness in!

Heralds of light, speed the day

2

Do the work of God, with pow¡¯r of His giving

He your Companion will prove

Tell the love God for all people living

Beam forth the Gospel of Light

Heralds of Light, speed away!

Let shine the bright Gospel ray

End the night of sin, Let the brightness in!

Heralds of light, speed the day

3

Bear the truth of God, the fire of His altar

Faint not in age or in youth

Crossing seas and mountains, rest not, nor falter

Beam forth the Gospel of Light

Heralds of Light, speed away!

Let shine the bright Gospel ray

End the night of sin, Let the brightness in!

Heralds of light, speed the day

4

North and South and East and West, go obeying

God your Supporter in the strife

For the dead and blind in sin, go forth praying

Beam forth the Gospel of Light

Heralds of Light, speed away!

Let shine the bright Gospel ray

End the night of sin, Let the brightness in!

Heralds of light, speed the day

1

Sowing in the morning, sowing seeds of kindness

Sowing in the noontide and the dewy eve

Waiting for the harvest, and the time of reaping

We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves

Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves

We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves

Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves

We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves

2

Sowing in the sunshine, sowing in the shadows

Fearing neither clouds nor winter¡¯s chilling breeze

By and by the harvest, and the labor ended

We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves

Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves

We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves

Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves

We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves

3

Going forth with weeping, sowing for the Master

Though the loss sustained our spirit often grieves

When our weeping¡¯s over, He will bid us welcome

We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves

Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves

We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves

Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves

We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves

Amen
