1

O Thou, the Lamb of God,

Spotless and most holy,

Is slain, th'unblemish'd Lamb, to bear

Our sins at Calvary.

2

This is the broken bread,

The body marr'd for me,

The very body of the Lord,

Nailbroken on the tree.

3

This is the blood outpour'd

In judgment, in my stead

For you, for me, at Calvary

In love and mercy shed.

4

Here is the table spread

Which Jesus doth prepare,

Who gives us now this bread of life,

This cup which now we share.

5

The Lord for Whom we yearn,

Ascended for a space,

Comes soon, and we at His return

With joy shall see His face.

6

And we Until that hour,

Let us, in ev'ry place

Bear still our cross, still tell His pow'r,

His mercy and His grace!

1

'Twas on that night when doomed to know

The eager spite of ev'ry foe,

That night in which He was betrayed,

The saviour of the world took bread.

2

And, after thanks and glory giv'n

To Him that rules in earth and heav'n,

That Symbol of His flesh He broke,

And thus to all his foll'wers spoke.

3

"My broken body thus I give

For you, for all, Take, eat, and live.

And oft the sacred rite renew

That brings my saving love to view."

4

Then in His hands the cup He raised,

And God anew He thanked and praised,

While kindness in His bosom glowed,

And from His lips salvation flowed.

5

"My blood I thus pour forth," He cries,

"To cleanse the soul in sin that lies

In this the covenant is sealed,

And heav'n's eternal grace revealed."

6

"With love to man this cup is fraught

Let all partake the sacred draught

Through latest ages let it pour,

In memory of my dying hour." Amen.

1

Not worthy, Lord, to gather up the crumbes

With trembling hand, that from Thy table fall,

A weary, heavyladen sinner comes

To plead Thy promise and obey Thy call.

2

I am not worthy to be thought Thy child,

Nor sit the last or lowest at Thy board

Too long a wanderer, and too oft beguiled,

I only ask one reconciling word

3

One word from Thee, my Lord! one smile, on look,

And I could face the cold, rough world again,

And with that treasure in my heart could brook

The wrath of devils and the scorn of men.

4

I heat Thy voice Thou bid'st me come and rest

I come, I kneel, I clasp Thy pierced feet.

Thou bid'st me take my place, a welcome guest,

Among Thy saints, and of Thy banquet eat

5

My praise can only breathe itself in pray'r

My pray'r can only lose itself in Thee.

Dwell Thou for ever in my heart, and there,

Lord, let me sup with thee sup Thou with me! Amen.

1

Break Thou the bread of life, Dear Lord, to me,

As Thou didst break the loaves Beside the sea.

Beyond the sacred page I seek Thee, Lord

My spirit pants for Thee, O living Word!

2

Thou art the bread of life, O Lord, to me,

Thy holy Word the truth That saveth me.

Give me to eat and live With Thee above.

Teach me to love Thy truth, For Thou art love.

3

Bless Thou the truth, dear Lord, To me, to me,

As Thou didst bless the bread By Galilee.

Then shall all bondage cease, All fetters fall,

And I shall find my peace, My All in All.

4

O send Thy Spirit, Lord, Now unto me,

That He may touch my eyes And make me see:

Show me the truth concealed Within Thy Word,

And in Thy Book revealed I see the Lord. Amen.

1

Here, O my Lord, I see Thee face to face,

Here would I touch and handle things unseen,

Here grasp with firmer hand eternal grace,

And all my weariness upon Thee lean.

2

Here would I feed upon the bread of God,

Here drink with Thee the royal wine of heav'n,

Here would I lay aside each earthly load,

Here taste afresh the calm of sin forgiv'n.

3

I have no help but Thine, nor do I need

Another arm save Thine to lean upon

It is enough, my Lord, enough indeed!

My strength's in Thy might, Thy might alone.

4

Feast after feast thus comes and passes by,

Yet, passing, points to that glad feast above,

Giving sweet foretaste of the festal joy,

The Lamb's great bridal feast of bliss and love. Amen.

1

Here, O Father, this our pray'r,

That this bride and bridegroom may

In this hour of uion share

Special blessings of the day.

2

Here, O Son of God, our pray'r:

By Your aid on them bestow'd,

Each for each in love and care

May they walk a single road.

3

Holy Spirit, hear our pray'r:

In distress or trial's hour

Grant them victor's crowns to wear

By th'ourpouring of Your pow'r.

4

May their earthly journey know

Grace and gladness all the way,

Till, together still, they go

Into heav'n's eternal day. Amen.

1

Joy and praise this day confessing,

Let us, friends, with on accord,

Hold this wedding in the blessing

And the gladness of the Lord.

Bride and groom, there two together,

Seek one body to become

Let them and their home forever,

In the Lord be truly one

2

Till their days on earth are ended

Let their road united be,

Heart and will in service blended,

Still to follow only Thee.

Mutual trust and honor ever,

Mutual aid and love to show,

Ever one through pain and pleasure,

still as victors may they go

3

Father, grant us our petition

And our earnest hope, that they

May adorn their new condition

In their living day by day.

Each for each till life is past, Re

freshed and blest in serving Thee,

May they rise from earth at last To

share Thy glad eternity. Amen.

1

O perfect Love, all human thought transcending,

Lowly we kneel in prayer before Thy throne,

That theirs may be the love which knows no ending,

Whom Thou forever more dost join in one.

2

O perfect Life, Be Thou their full assurance

Of tender charity and steadfast faith,

Of patient hope, and quiet, brave endurance,

With childlike trust that fears not pain nor death.

3

Grant them the joy which brightens earthly sorrow

Grant them the peace which calms all earthly strife,

And to life's day the glorious unknown morrow

That dawns upon eternal love and life. Amen.

1

When all my labours and trials are o'er

And I am safe on that beautiful shore,

Just to be near the dear Lord I adore,

Will through the ages be glory for me.

O that will be glory for me,

Glory for me, glory for me

When by His grace I shall look on His face,

That will be glory, be glory for me.

2

When, by the gift of His infinite grace,

I am accorded in heaven a place,

Just to be there and to look on His face,

Will through the ages be glory for me.

O that will be glory for me,

Glory for me, glory for me

When by His grace I shall look on His face,

That will be glory, be glory for me.

3

Friends will be there I have loved long ago

Joy like a river around me will flow

Yet, just a smile from my Saviour, I know,

Will through the ages be glory for me.

O that will be glory for me,

Glory for me, glory for me

When by His grace I shall look on His face,

That will be glory, be glory for me.

1

I'm but a stranger here, Heaven is my home

Earth is a desert drear, Heaven is my home.

Danger and sorrow stand Round me on every hand

Heaven is my fatherland, Heaven is my home.

2

What though the tempests rage, Heaven is my home

Short is my pilgrimage, Heaven is my home.

Time's cold and wintry blast Soon will be overpast

I shall reach home at last, Heaven is my home.

3

There at my Saviour's side, Heaven is my home

I shall be golrified, Heaven is my home.

There are the good and blest, Those I love most and best,

There too, I soon shall rest, Heaven is my home. Amen.

1

There's a land that is fairer than day,

And by faith we can see it afar

For the Father waits over the way,

To perpare us a dwelling place there.

In the sweet byandby,

We shall meet on that beautiful shore,

In the sweet byandby,

We shall meet on that beautiful shore.

2

We shall sing on that beautiful shore

The melodious songs of the blest,

And our spirits shall sorrow no more,

Not a sigh for the blessing of rest.

In the sweet byandby,

We shall meet on that beautiful shore,

In the sweet byandby,

We shall meet on that beautiful shore.

3

We shall meet those we lost long ago

When we rise to receive our reward,

Tears of parting no longer to know,

Neither grief, only joy in the Lord.

In the sweet byandby,

We shall meet on that beautiful shore,

In the sweet byandby,

We shall meet on that beautiful shore.

4

To our bountiful Father above

We will offer the tribute of praise,

For the glorious gift of His love,

And the blessings that hallow our days.

In the sweet byandby,

We shall meet on that beautiful shore,

In the sweet byandby,

We shall meet on that beautiful shore. Amen.

1

The blessed land to find, Clear shows my way.

All roads of humankind Lead but astray.

Earth's toiling must I cease, My work to be, alone,

My Father's path of peace, Leading me home.

2

Blest the new home prepared By Christ for me.

Brightness still unimpair'd Eternally!

Saints there with joyful song Praise Jesus evermore,

Redeemer, lov'd and strong, Whom we adore.

3

When I survey the path, The way I came,

Each uncompleted task Fills me with shame.

Yet will my Father's love, My crown of life to give.

Welcome me home above, With Him to live.

1

I will meet you in the morning

Just inside the Eastern Gate

Then be ready, faithful pilgrim,

Lest with you it be too late.

I will meet you, I will meet you,

Just inside the Eastern Gate over there

I will meet you, I will meet you,

I will meet you in the morning over there.

2

Keep your lamps all trimmed and burning,

For the Bridegroom watch and wait

He'll be with us at the meeting

Just inside the Eastern Gate.

I will meet you, I will meet you,

Just inside the Eastern Gate over there

I will meet you, I will meet you,

I will meet you in the morning over there.

3

Oh, the joys of that glad meeting

With the saints who for us wait!

What a blessed happy meeting,

Just inside the Eastern Gate.

I will meet you, I will meet you,

Just inside the Eastern Gate over there

I will meet you, I will meet you,

I will meet you in the morning over there.

1

As we mourn a dear one gone,

And the tears unbidden come,

While we bow our heads in grief

Comfort, Lord! Bring sweet relief.

When like us on earth, You knew

All our griefs, as still You do.

Having wept like us, we pray,

Cheer our hearts in sorrow's day.

2

Though we stand before Your face

All unworthy but for grace,

Yet receive us as Your own,

For our trust is You alone.

You Who, sinless, bore our sin,

Shed Your blood our life to win,

Having love'd us so, we pray,

Take us to Your heart today.

3

When we faint in face of death,

Sore of heart, of joy bereft,

Heal the heavyhearted sigh,

Bless with comfort from on high.

You knew in your days of flesh,

All earth's ills and wretchedness.

By that life so freely giv'n, Cheer

our hearts with joy of heaven.

1

Some day the silver cord will break,

And I no more as now shall sing

But oh, the joy when I shall wake

Withing the palace of the King!

And I shall see Him face to face,

And tell the story Saved by grace

And I shall see Him face to face,

And tell the story Saved by grace.

2

Some day my earthly house will fall,

I cannot tell how soon 'twill be

But this I know my All in

All Has now a place in heav'n for me.

And I shall see Him face to face,

And tell the story Saved by grace

And I shall see Him face to face,

And tell the story Saved by grace.

3

Some day, when fades the golden sun

Beneath the rosytinted west,

My blessed Lord will say, "Well done!"

And I shall enter into rest.

And I shall see Him face to face,

And tell the story Saved by grace

And I shall see Him face to face,

And tell the story Saved by grace.

4

Some day: till then I'll then I'll watch and wait,

My lamp all trimmed and burning bright,

That when my Saviour ope's the gate,

My soul to Him may take its flight.

And I shall see Him face to face,

And tell the story Saved by grace

And I shall see Him face to face,

And tell the story Saved by grace. Amen.

1

At Thy feet, our God and Father,

Who hast blessed us all our days,

We with grateful hearts would gather

To begin the day with praise

Praise for light so brightly shining

On our steps from heaven above

Praise for mercies daily twining

Round us golden cords of love.

2

Jesus for Thy love most tender

On the cross for sinners shown,

We would praise Thee and surrender

All our hearts to be Thine own.

With so blest a Friend provided,

We upon our way would go.

Sure of being safely guided,

Guarded well from every foe.

3

Every day will be the brighter

When thy gracious face we see

Ev'ry burden will be lighter

When we know it comes from Thee.

Spread Thy love's broad banner o'er us

Give us strength to serve and wait,

Till Thy glory breaks before us

Thro' the city's open gate. Amen.

1

Ring out the old, ring in the new,

Ring, happy bells, across the snow

The year is going, let him go

Ring out the false, ring in the true.

2

Ring out a slowly dying cause,

And ancient forms of party strife,

Ring in the nobler modes of life,

With sweeter manners, purer laws.

3

Ring our old shapes of foul disease

Ring out the narrowing lust of gold,

Ring out the thousand wars of old,

Ring in the thousand years of peace.

4

Ring in the valiant man and free,

The larger heart, the kindlier hand

Ring out the darkness of the land,

Ring in the Christ that is to be. Amen.

1

By cool Siloam's shady rill

How sweet the lily grows!

How sweet the breath beneath the hill

Of Shar'on's dewy rose!

2

Lo, such the child whose early feet

The paths of peace have trod

Whose secret heart, with influence sweet,

Is upward drawn to God.

3

O Thou, who givest life and breath,

We ask Thy grace alone,

In childhood, manhood, age and death,

To keep us still Thine own. Amen.

1

When He cometh, when He cometh

To make up His jewels,

All His jewels, precious jewels,

His loved and His own.

Like the stars of the morning,

His bright crown adroning,

They shall shine in their beauty,

Bright gems for His crown.

2

He will gather, He will gather

The gems for His kingdom,

All the pure ones, all the bright ones,

His loved and His own.

Like the stars of the morning,

His bright crown adroning,

They shall shine in their beauty,

Bright gems for His crown.

3

Little children, little children

Who love their Redeemer,

Are the Jewels, precious jewels,

His loved and His own.

Like the stars of the morning,

His bright crown adroning,

They shall shine in their beauty,

Bright gems for His crown.

1

If I come to Jesus,

He will make me glad

He will give me pleasure

When my heart is sad.

If I come to Jesus,

Happy I shall be

He is gently calling

Little ones like me.

2

If I come to Jesus,

He will hear my pray'r

He will love me dearly

He my sins did bear.

If I come to Jesus,

Happy I shall be

He is gently calling

Little ones like me.

3

If I come to Jesus,

He will take my hand

He will kindly lead me

To a better land.

If I come to Jesus,

Happy I shall be

He is gently calling

Little ones like me.
